Last updated: 24 August 2026
Welcome to Makseb.
By creating an account or using Makseb, you agree to these Terms of Service.
About Makseb
Makseb is a cloud-based business management platform that helps businesses manage operations such as:
- Point of Sale (POS)
- Product management
- Bookings and appointments
- Inventory
- Multi-branch management
- Customer management
- Business reporting
- Online store and booking pages for your customers
- A supplier marketplace
Eligibility
Makseb is provided for business use.
By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the business you register.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activities performed through it.
Subscription
Makseb is provided as a subscription service.
Subscription fees are billed according to the selected plan.
Failure to maintain an active subscription may limit access to certain features.
Subscription payments are processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Makseb's Merchant of Record.
Payments to Businesses
Where you accept payments from your own customers through Makseb — for example through your online store, your booking page, or at the point of sale — those payments are processed by licensed third-party payment providers, such as OMPay, under your own merchant agreement with that provider.
Makseb is not a party to the sale between you and your customer, does not hold your customers' funds, and is not responsible for refunds you owe your customers.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Makseb for illegal activities.
- Attempt unauthorized access.
- Interfere with the platform or other users.
- Upload malicious software or harmful content.
- Use the platform in a way that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others.
Customer Data
You retain ownership of the business data you store within Makseb.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of customer data complies with applicable laws.
Makseb processes your customers' data on your behalf and on your instructions. Toward your customers, you remain the party responsible for that data.
- Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data they enter into Makseb.
- Users must have the necessary rights or permissions to upload and manage customer data within the platform.
AI Features
Some optional features may use trusted third-party AI services to assist with tasks within the platform.
Some features send information or documents you provide — for example business verification documents, receipts, or onboarding forms — to trusted third-party AI services for automated reading and extraction. These services process the data only to provide the feature.
- AI-generated content is provided as assistance only.
- Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it in their business.
Intellectual Property
Makseb, its software, branding, and content remain the intellectual property of Starlight Family Ltd.
No part of the platform may be copied, resold, or redistributed without written permission.
Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Maintenance, updates, or unexpected technical issues may temporarily affect access.
You should keep independent copies of any records your business is legally required to retain.
Force Majeure
Makseb is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:
- Internet outages
- Cloud infrastructure failures
- Natural disasters
- Government actions
- Other unforeseen events
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makseb is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makseb shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makseb's total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Makseb harmless against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from your business activities, or from your handling of your customers' data.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used in a way that threatens the security, integrity, or operation of the platform.
Users may cancel their subscription at any time.
After an account is closed, any data remaining in it may be deleted after a reasonable period, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Additional Terms
Some programs carry additional terms, which are presented to you when you join them. The supplier marketplace and our partner and affiliate programs are examples.
Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may improve, modify, or discontinue features of the platform.
Where we make a material change to the service, to pricing, or to these Terms, we will give reasonable advance notice.
Continuing to use Makseb after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
